Just got a Barbwire for my nephew who is turning 6yrs. old(and one for myself also:tongue:)
Is there a safe way to slow it down a bit so he can learn to drive it? I'm a bit concerned he may get overlealous and end up in the weeds or rocks, and I would like him to be able to run it without me there. I don't want his mom to have to chase it.......

Can the esc be programmed for 2s by any chance?

I'm pretty sure you can run either 2 or 3s

Put in a brushed motor? Tie a drag net to it. :Sinking:

Update, just tried plugging in a small 2s and 3s, esc beeps twice on 2s and 3 times on 3s, apparently must have auto lipo detect, bonus!
I got 2 boats from an LHS, funny but one came with a battery with the multi connector/adapters, the other had just straight EC3's.........

Kevin,

I think the earlier batches of the barbwire came with that multi plug. The first barbwire I got came that way too. How does it run on 2s? If I wanted to slow one down I would try to modify the prop and make it smaller. But I'm sure your nephew can handle it on 3s after running the boat a few times. My son will be 4 and drives the boat pretty good and I put an octura prop on it. These boats are great
