Just installed a new out of box mystery 30 amp esc. When I connect my 3s lipo battery, the esc sounds a musical tone and then starts a rapid beep, beep beep. The manual indicates that is an over voltage or an under voltage. I checked the 3s lipo and the voltage is 12.47. I am very new to this and do not know if the esc is bad or what to do. Any suggestions are very much appreciated.

Paul.

I have no idea. I cannot get the esc to operate at all. Just continues to beep.

Paul what radio are you using?

Tactic TTX240 2.4GHz The radio was working fine but the old esc made the motor stutter. A friend who has lots of experience said it was bad. The minimono never would go on plane. I bought the boat used and never got it to run.

Do you have a way to discharge the lipo some? It is fresh and a little high in voltage, that may be the problem.

A fully charged 3 s lipo will read 12.6. 4.2 x 3 = 12.6. Seems more like a radio issue, lots of esc's I've dealt with will beep if they aren't getting the proper signal or calibrated right.

A friend took my whole boat and battery and brought it back within minutes. He said he only set the throttle range and it started working.

Glad that worked out. I'll watch for that if it ever happens to me.
