So I bought one of these things soley so I can mess around with it in the pool. The speed is fine for now, I just want to upgrade a few of the weak parts. Everything I buy eventually turns into brushless stuff then goes way to fast and gets destroyed and I start back a square one. Therefore, this will turn into a speeding tcking bomb, but right now I want to upgrade the rudder assembly, battery, and props. Im not sure what the esc can handle, but a 3 cell wont work.. Heres the parts im looking at getting.

Im not sure what the size is of the stock one but im fairly sure this should work?

this bat should fit.

Now, I dont understand props at all.. the stock ones are 30mm. Im thinking i want a 3-blade prop for a little more torque? Im not sure if I can go up in prop size so can anyone help with some nice upgraded props that will make it run a little stronger? I want them to be metal to look nice with the rudder... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Went down the same road you're headed down. The stock parts on the Mini Wildcat can't take any more power and be reliable. Ended up going brushless and replacing everything. Ended up with a ripping little boat that's a hoot to drive. Still using the stock rudder that works great and is holding up fine. Here's the stuff I used.

Two Tacon 2040-3835KV Brushless Motor .
Two HobbyWing 2040 130 Aluminum Cooler.
Two HobbyWing Seaking-25A Brushless ESC
Two Octura .098 flex cable with 1/8" prop shaft (one lefthand, one right hand rotation.
Two Octura x430 propellers, right and lefthand rotation.
