Is any one interested in running P-limited Cat at our May 19 race? It would be for Catamarans, 34" or less in lenght, with the P-limited approved motors, running a 6 lap sprint.

If you are interested please post here in the next 2weeks and I will add that class to our sign up for the May race.

I have a boat for that but I don't think I can keep up with that many classes in a day. That would put Ty and I in LSH, LSO, LSM, SV27, Q Sport and Limited cat plus call some heats. Let me do a cells and chargers analysis later this evening. Doesn't Fred still have one of my Duo chargers?........why don't I just know that? haha

We should run some of these though even if we can't get three rounds in. We have this on the roster for the Cup and nobody is messing with them yet.

This class sounds interesting. I am fairly new to r/c boats and I did exchange emails with Terry a few times last year om racing. I have a V1 Miss Geico that I have changed the prop and did the offset rudder mod other than that it's all stock. I am interested in joining the club and racing but I am not sure if I can make the race on the 19th due to work. I was able to make it out once last season and practice with the boat but I was wondering what the thoughts are on the stock 1500 motor and if I should change it out to something else on the approved list? Also if I need to change the motor what would a good esc be?

Doesn't the Miss GEICO have an 1800 kV motor? If not then either the ProBoat or the Aquacraft 1800 kV motor or the Aquacraft 2030 kV motor. The Aquacraft 60 amp esc seems to work well with the Aquacraft motors. The newer versions of the BlackJack 29 have a Dynamite 3036 1800 kV motor and a new ESC to go along with it, that could be another option. The SeaKing 180 (right here on OSE) might be agood option too.

We have open water on Wednesdays and are usually there until 8pm. So if you can't make the race come out to the pond and talk to someone there.

The original run of the Miss GEICO has the 1500 KV motor and the 45 amp esc. I was at Larry's yesterday and they had the esc and the motor from the BlackJack 29. I think I will try that route. As of now I am planning of going this Wednesday to get some practice in. Hopefully I will see you there.

Not sure what I'm going to do with our Mystic. Need to check my box o' motors. There's something in there we can run. Unfortunately I tore my knee all to hell Friday night and can't work on anything right now so we'll see. Major setback for the H2O team.

I just ordered the SeaKing 180 esc along with the programming card and bullet connectors from OSE, thanks for the suggestion. The video of the DF28 cat looks nice, who makes it?

Delta Force: DF web site (http://www.deltaforce-hk.com/index.html)

The new cat isn't on their site yet. Most likely still in testing stages.
