View Full Version : Got a problem need HELP!
My bj26 is doing fine. Its just my other cat that i need help with. Here is the problem. The boat seems to work fine when out of the water. Motor runs, esc responds, servo working. But, when i put the boat in the water it runs like the batt is about to die. Checked the batt, and it is fully charged. So what could be wrong?

need more info. esc? motor? bat? Prop? drive line condition? did you check battery static or under a load?
Everything new.
Water-cooled 2618 KV Brushless In-Runner Motor
50Amp Water-cooled Brushless Electronic Speed Control , seperate BEC
Thunderpower 2200 11.1V
2 Blade Chopper Propeller , Octura X642
I did tighten the flex shaft, because i thought it was loose. But, the boat still runs so slow.

Do you have another battery to try?
Yes. I tried it with another fully charged batt. Same result.

Ok, how about your radio program? End-points, atv, expo, etc.? Everything normal? What brand esc is it?

Off the top of my head, if every thing is functioning ok.......you need MORE battery. One 3s is slim pickings, not to mention its only a 2200. My blackjack runs 4s at 5000 mah. Was this boat ever fast on one pack, or is it a new to you boat?
It is new to me, and it was fast on one pack. It was recommended by rchobby centre to use one 3s pack lipo.
This is where i got it from.

I like that hull alot! How much did you pay it for? And for the problem, We dont know ANYTHING about the esc., that makes life hard. I dont understand only using one 3s pack. Weird. Make sure youre arming it properly, and check your pack voltage under a load. A lot of bad cells read normal just sitting on a table, then under a load they crap out. Make sure all you adjustments on the tx are neutral, or 100% depending. From there i cant be much more help without knowing more about the esc.
I paid $390 include shipping from down under to USA. IF, i have to change out the esc. What would you recommend?

A castle Hydra. Theres a few levels of them, depending on how extreme you wanna be. Put one of those in there and a pair big lipos, and hang on! Id try to contact them first though, they said theres no instructions because theyre here to help, so call em up!
Yea, they give 12 months warranty on the boat. So, hopefully they'll fix it. Anyways, thanks for trying to help me out.
