Hey everyone!
Just reordered GII Micro Hydros, Mini ECOs and Starships. Expected arrival is late April.

I do have some in stock now but limited colors.

Remember, the GII boats have 4 pole 3200 KV motors and 40A esc's. The speed is now insane. The Micro Hydro is about 45mph outta da box! Rigger (starship) is faster!

Jim

I have an original yellow eco without flood chamber but ponds here are real low due to drought to run boats. But that's life. Hopf label reads Original Hopf Boot. I have a Turnigy 3550 on 2S which has wire drive and a Carbon Fiber 629 prop with tip of blade is 1/8" below bottom of boat. The motor is to high a kv and should be 24,000rpm.

WITHOUT the chamber? still got to be a good boat, just have to go get it when it flips..and most of us are used to that..lol

Who made it? Pretty sure it isn't a Tenshock. ECO is a class run in Naviga.

But, its costly, takes time to get, and he must know you before you can buy, or be referred by a previous customer..

Not much..nothing good..Best all around boat here, in the US, is the tenshock, good service, great guy is the distributor, a friend..boats run well out of the box, and I have done extensive mods to make em faster..and they love it..no downside..here is a clip of one of mine..testing a rudder mod

:tiphat: great running ECO! Did you add any weight and if so, how much and where about? May I ask what kind of mod did you have on the rudder?
I have almost everything from Minicat and Jim is a great guy. Couldn't agree more!

The boat comes with a 3200 kv, its upped to a 4200, on 3S...rudder is literally 2 times bigger, german props, 2 1/2 oz of weight in the flood chamber..

Thanks! I just run this stock but occasionally it dives so I figure I need to add weight in the rear.

They have a habit of diving because for the hull to work right, it needs to sit on the stern..the prop that comes with it is a LIFTING prop..get a good subsurface prop, or, mod your prop, and you will see a immediate difference. here are pics of a stock prop, sitting next to a prop I modified to kill the lift...other pic is of the prop that works the best.105286105287

It is a 27mm prop I think, for the life of me I couldn't find anything else. I don't know how to mod the prop. Can you point me to a better substitute prop that is a direct bolt on which doesn't give any lift?
Thanks in advance.

Mini ECO's are flying off the shelf this summer due to our summer sale. We sold out a second shipment really fast. We now are waiting for our third shipment. It will come in three phases Sept 24-Oct 10.
Check the website to keep up. We do have Micro Hydros and Starships in stock. Starships are shown at 15% off but for OSE members we will offer 25% off. Email us or message us here.

Thanks,
Jim

Jim, Any concerns running these in salt water? These look like they have quality parts so I assume it is just the normal maintenance I do on my other boats. I have seen some lower end boats with just mild steel parts that rust before the end of the day. I am leaning towards the Mini ECO or Hydro.

Cheers,
Tab

So long as you do the normal maintenance of rinsing everything down well and then applying some corrosion X or other moisture absorbing compound, you can run in Salt water without problems. Many other customers of our do it.

Thanks,
Jim

Good to know Jim I had my Star Ship out for the first time last weekend. I was not expecting it to jump up on plane and I drove away from me into a windy part of the pond. Little did I know how fast it was as I got past the middle of the pond where it had 20 mph wind when I turned right into the wind it flipped. It sat upside down 20 minutes and not one drop of water. I put Corrosion-X on every thing so I was not worried at all. I added the new turn fin I was surprised at how square to came out. Easy install. Need to get back out there soon as the water here in Chicago will be ice all too soon.
