The Baltimore Model Boaters will be hosting the first race of the D12 season on April 26th-28th at Greenbrier State Park in Hagerstown, Md. There is a minor error in the flyer. B/P-Lim Mono should be B/P Mono. Also I asked Charles if we could let P-Lim Sport Hydro's run with the Sport 20's. I'll let you all know as soon as I get word from him. It's been a long tenacious winter and I'm looking forward to seeing all my friends and running some boats!!

Okay Folks, The Baltimore club loves scale boats and Charles says bring the P-Lim Sport Hydros. We will either run by ourselves or combined up with the Nitro Sport 20's depending on # of entries. WW29 is already talking smack. He thinks he can take my Insane FE30 with his UL1 RTR. It should be fun!!:thumbup1:

Remember to review the District Rules on the Capitol Club web site in my signature.

Are you gonna run in the regular B/P lim. Hydro as well as the B/P lim. sport hydro?

Chilli
03-21-2013, 04:18 PM
John will run B/P-Lim Hydro and Tunnel as he has been the last two years. I may let him do P-Lim Sport Hydro also (he hates monos). LOL

I will do Gas Rigger, Open Offshore, B/P-Lim Tunnel and B/P Mono. If the gas rigger is not ready or not enough entries I'll run Gas Mono.

Thats my plan and I may or may not stick to it. :bounce:

Whatcha running?

The HS805BB I ordered for the gas rigger is too big for the servo bracket. :frusty: Just ordering a 755MG. Hopefully it will be here by the end of the week. If not, Friday open water may be the first time this boat see's the water.

Thanks Doug.

Yes Sir!

I'm not. LOL I been busy converting the boats back to heat racing trim. Had to do some motor swaps and change bullets on a bunch of packs. Also pulled the Zen apart to see if I can figure out what's wrong with it. Mr. Finch is going to lend me a motor for the race. Also had to replace the rudder on the P-mono and awaiting a replacement servo for it.

I'll be ready by Saturday but need will need a break from boating after this weekend.

BTW- Dick and Carol wont make it this weekend. They wanted to but Dick's knee is acting up so he wants to rest it. You have to walk down a hill to launch boats at Greenbrier and he didnt want to risk hurting it further.

I have a couple new in package Futaba servos with plenty of power....no worries if yours does not come in....

one is a S3050 - 90.3oz.in. @ 6v - Size 1.57x0.79x1.50 in. (I use for my tunnel)

the other is a S3016 - 58.3oz.in. @ 6v - Size 1.22x0.63x1.21 in. (P-Mono)

Chilli
04-24-2013, 12:11 PM
Appreciate it. The FE30 servo got wet last weekend and started acting up so I tossed it. William is going to be running my TS3.

Chilli
04-24-2013, 09:37 PM
Got the new servo today. Works fine. But now the old Castle 240 wont arm. Never had a problem with it in two years. No beeps, just a solid red light. It works when I hook it up to the Castle Link. Doug or Kent, are you guys running the 240? :frusty:

Doug Smock
04-24-2013, 09:45 PM
I'm still running the 240. In it's fifth or sixth year.

Have you tried to calibrate it?

Chilli
04-24-2013, 10:51 PM
I tried but she is just acting funny and she hasnt been touched since the end of last season. The problem is I don't know what the red led is indicating. Sometimes it flashes constantly and others just a few times. I did a continuity check on the cable from the board to the plug and it checks out fine. I temporarily hooked up my ICE 240 and it beeped and spun the motor fine. The old controller has been a fine performer. I'll play with it some more tomorrow. Trying to avoild resoldering a bunch of bullets.....again. The week has been very stressfull. I thought boating was supposed to be fun. :bounce:

HOTWATER
04-24-2013, 10:52 PM
I am running the 240...like Doug said...you may just need to calibrate....I have a brand new older version Swordy 200 ...I will have it with me and you are most welcome to use it. I also have the program switches for it....

I will have to check my 240 tomorrow as well...

Chilli
04-24-2013, 10:55 PM
I've got some back up controllers Kent but thanks for the offer. They are just set up for trials with 8mm bullets and a 1P configuration. Just printed out the manual and will go over it again. Not much too it though.

Chilli
04-25-2013, 12:24 AM
I tried to recalibrate as per the instructions. No beeps and I cant make heads or tails of the blinking red LED. I'll throw some 8mm bullets on the motor and make a parallel adapter with 5.5's for the Ice. No big deal. Somewhere along the line the controller got wet and perhaps corrosion has worked it's way in.

HOTWATER
04-25-2013, 08:43 PM
Truck is packed up...next stop...Hagerstown, MD!!!

Chilli
04-25-2013, 09:15 PM
Cool. Only took an hour to switch motor bullets and make a parallel adapter for the Ice. I'll be there around noon to 1pm.

I just booked a room for Saturday night (18th) at the Best Western in Denton just in case. It's not too far from the camp ground we stayed two years ago. I can cancel up to 4PM on the 18th without a penalty. Room was $105 including tax.
