Sarpi,
Welcome to the forum and the wonderful world of RC boating:smile:

I have to disagree with Serpents811's answer for the following reason(s)...
Please goto AQ's website and download the manual for the SV27R. On page 8 they say to... "10. Remove the motor from the boat and spray the entire motor with moisture displacer. Make sure to fully saturate the motor."

On page 6 (SV27R manual) they suggest using one of the following water displacer's... WD-40, CRC-56 or Corrosion-X. Personally I do not agree with the WD-40 suggestion and would not use it for this application, it rots rubber and I feel that it would cause long term damage to the internals of the motor. I have not heard any bad about Corrosion-X, perhaps other members can comment on that product.

I have the AQ Wildcat EP, it has a larger version of the MM's motor, here's a pic... http://www.aquacraftmodels.com/boats/aqub1810-wildcat/aqub1810-features.html.

I couldn't find CRC-56 in my area so I got this stuff... http://www.rscbrands.com/products/product_images/VL_L212.jpg at the local Wally Mart - I've been using it for over a year without any issues. During the summer months I pull my motor out every 3 runs or so and saturate the motor per the instructions in the SV27 manual.

We have long winters in my area, that means long periods of non-use, I soaked my motor with the above stuff before putting her away for the winter. Weather's starting to warm up, so I took my boats out of storage and bin gettin them ready for spring / summer; the WC motor still runs like new, something to be said for that.

For the wire drive you'll want to use this stuff... http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXMPH8&P=**Missing%20Data** - that little tub will last for a long time.

Id put oil on the bearings after a days running and that's it. Corrosion-X-easy on spray around the servo wires as time will makes led wires brittle if not kept dry. Spraying X on outrunner innards is for useage in airboat motor that are exposed to mist from the water so rust doesn't collect.
