after 'wading' through a dicussion on the 610duo...one thing was apperant fairly early on, with the new generation high power chargers you need some rather beefy power supplies. I have a 13.8v 20amp ps and while it will work for what I need...it is not enough to allow the charger to run at full output. mayhap one should look into higher power units...say 24v /30amp thanks

Years ago someone suggested rivergate power supply. I bought a 30amp unit and never looked back. I have used 2,3 or 4 chargers on that without issue.

those look to be very nice...however the output voltage is a bit low for the hyperion chargers. the 610i models will not give full output at less than 15v input.

I'll have a look at home to see what I have in my "decomissioned equipment" pile. I might have something.

Rex...
Look at MFJ enterprises.

They make stuff for the Ham radio crowd.
30 Amps about 150$. I don't have one myself, but a Ham guy told me about them after I bought my Pyramid.
My Pyramid 32Amp- 12-15Volt power supply was purchased from Amazon.com NEW for 120$. I just got it the
other day and have not tried with my DUO yet.

I use a version of this, its an auto jump start and 12VDC power supply, I leave it plugged in in the house and have run 2 hyperion chargers on it for 2 days in the field without even coming close to draining the battery. been using it for several years without any issues.
price for a goodone is around 39.00 yo 69.00 depending on options, I know its unorthodox but then so am I

I like that idea for the portability
What size packs are you charging with it?
