    Problems with SF 120 telemetry

I set up and have used the telemetry with my SF 120 a few times. Today the computer that has worked the best said that the com port was invalid no matter which one I changed it to same thing. How can I make this work? That is to get the correct com port?

are you actually using a COM port?
every time you plug one of those USB to COM port adapters in, the COM port number will change depending on what USB port it was plugged into

I am plugging it in to a USB. It says "Invalid com port" I thought it was automatic.

Do I just need to reload the software or restart the computer?

It depends...some of the earlier S/W versions required you to manually set the COM port with your Device Manager...the latest version 4.01 is supposed to automatically set the COM port for you.

hmm COM1 is usually a physical port on a computer or (old) laptop, Mice used to use like COM port 1 or 3.
its possible using USB your actually using COM port 4 to 8 or so
youd have to plug it in, then go into device manager, look at the USB stuff there
