I'm ready to take the plunge and buy a Hyperion 720i Super Duo charger. My two older Hyperion chargers have external balancers. I have had them for years. They have worked great without any issues.

I have a 30 amp Bulldog power supply. Will it be able to power the Duo to charge two 4s 5000mah batteries at 6amps each?

You should be golden Jay. I've run 3 Duo off my bulldog 30 before.

No problem what so ever jstolz.
I have one with a 23A 15V power supply & charge two 5000mah 45c packs in parallel on each channel at the same time (4 packs in total) on 10A each side. That's 5A or 1c per pack
Nothing gets even slightly warm.
Your two packs at 6A each on a 30A PS will be fine.
Cheers.
Paul.

I got my new Duo yesterday. This charger is the best. I checked all my batteries to make sure that we all still in good shape. The programming works just as my 3 year old Hyperion charger. I feel right at home with the new charger. Now it's time to get ready for racing.

I bought it from OSE. Steve has the best service.

I've got the earlier version of the Duo3 and I charge four 2S1P 5000 packs in // of each port (8 packs total), and since I'm always coming out of Storage level charge those 8 packs take only 30min at 1C...

I get 16 lipos charged in 1 hour. It used to take me all day...

jstolz.
A great feature with this charger is that you can monitor the IR of each cell in your packs.
Any pack that has a cell with a much higher IR than the others in that pack may give you trouble in the future.
You will love this charger.
