Just unsolder the flex and get a piece of .047 Piano wire and put back in. did it to my daughters Mini.

I am working on a new 062 wire drive with new x432 prop and drive dog. I could mske new couplers but drilling out 47 to 62 is simple. Anyone interest? Getting a lot of emsils on this.

Ok Jeff,

I just went to your site and ordered up your driveshaft setup. I had all the stuff from coupler to prop not for the octura 098 flexshaft but have been to busy to gut the boat (and I didn't want to). I already have my 3900 kv watercooled inrunner/outrunner (I don't remember its blue and from hobbyking) and a SeaKing 35a in place. All I had to do was enlarge the cowl opening to shoehorn in the motor, and then trim the motor mount to make the water cooling tube not kink. Up next is solder on a deans connector. Then install Jeff's 062 shaft. I have 3 octura props waiting Y531, X432, and X632. All in all its pretty plug and play should be good.

After this its some kind of 6s rig, Revolt 30 or Impulse 31 (or any other suggestion).

I got my Jeff Wohlt 062 setup last week in the mail. I plan on installing it soon. I will let people know how it goes when finished.

Sobie, did you run it?

No I haven't run it, the kit was not a quick plugin play as advertised. You had to drill out the driveshaft with a 1/8" drill bit and when I tried that the driveshaft spun out and the bit got stuck and 1/8 isn't big enough. So it's on hold till later. I even have a complete octura 098 shaft kit but heard this was an easy one... Nope :(

It has been way to long, but I pulled out the old driveshaft, and enlarged the hole in the transom and front shaft support. I cut the 098 stuffing tube and teflon liner tube, and inserted the wohlt driveshaft (the one that I got appeared to be only an octura 098 assembled driveshaft cut to length and thus it wouldn't fit the existing stuffing tube. At any rate I have some epoxy and will epoxy it in tonight. The only thing I need to do is check the length the driveshaft needs to be sticking out of the stern before I set it in place. Then it is off to the water!
