A very popular race setup is a Phil Thomas SS45 hull with a Neu 1527/1Y on 6S. SpeedMaster hardware and an x450 prop to start. But I strongly recommend that this NOT be your first FE boat. You will make expensive mistakes, start with an AquaCraft UL-1 hydro or similar. You will thank me later.

Ok where can i buy one from?

you can get the 36 inch Supersport45 or the 30 inch Stealth sport hydro that uses the UL 1 motor and esc for a stock setup which will run about 45mph or you can upgrade and use faster motors.
My email and web page is below.
Shipping to Austrailia is not cheap though for the size box for the SSP45

Thanks phil which would you recomend for an on the edge 6s set up for racing but also some saw events?

Most Q Sport Hydro racers I know use the 1527/1Y motor. Depending on the prop, speeds in the 70+ range are possible with good packs. Considering that the SS45 was designed for speeds in the low 50s that is rather "on the edge". But for SAW events you will need a different motor, one which will not be suitable for oval racing. The days of using an oval motor in a SAW boat are long gone.

You should buy a rigger kit that will do the job of going fast.
