I was able to get my new Cheetah in the water today for the first time.
Specs: 4s2p, Leo 4082-2000kv, seaking 180, hyperion 4200mah

On the first run, I had it running backwards so I swapped motor leads to correct it.
Put it back in the water and it ran great although it was running too wet. On the last blast, it took off fine and fast, then slowed down. No heat, no smoke and it still seems fine. I checked the batteries and they both were down to 16.40v
I have the lvc set to 3.4v, timing set to 3.75

Any ideas?

This is a commom prob with the SK180a esc, the lvc are to sensitive & cut in to early, lower to 3.2v & try or even go to 3v. But you must keep an eye on run times so as not to go to low on capacity, some even run with no lvc but you must find out what your run times are & then time your runs.

What prop were you using? Were you using a receiver battery by chance??

Chilli,
Happy Thanksgiving.

I am running a reciever battery and have the red wire from the esc pulled out.
The prop is a 3 blade m 447 maybe.....don't remember off the top of my head.

I'm going to try it again with the lvc at 3.2

Cool. Cant wait to see the video.

The 180 is a good controller but can be sensitive to LVC. I always set mine to the lowest voltage or turn it off however I'm always carefull of how long my runs are.

Where is your strut set at??

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. It would of been a nice day to run boats. LOL Just got off work and heading to Grandma's soon.

How does video shoot upside down on an iPad?

The video wasn't shot upside down, but it doesn't translate properly to android or windows without a correction.
I'm out of town with only my android tablet and I can't seem to get the video image to rotate. I can lock my screen and turn it over but,
That don't fix nuthin.

Looks good Chip. A little hard to tell on the video but it doesnt look terribly wet to me. Dont expect her to air out like the Revolt.

Nice Job!!

On the second time around, I changed the prop to an M545 and raised the strut 1/8". Seems to run pretty good with no heat over 100 degrees. She blew over on my last lap and I had to rescue from shore. No water in hull and everything stayed in place.

I didnt have the audio up the first time I watch..........CG3, LOL!!

Considering the wind today a blow over is no biggie. Temps are barely pushing 40. With a 90 degree day you will probably get another 5 mph out of that set up.
