I am looking for some info on the new Swordfish Plus. I have a 120A and a 200A So far I have it calibrated and trying to get the soft ware installed. Castle had a learning curve hope this will instigate more info on the ESC's.

I need to get the motor to spin freely and the card did not do it. both settings make it a hard stop

Well after about 2.5 hours I got the software installed and working. My brain is tired.

I haven't ran the 200s yet, but I have been running the 15/300s and 12/240s and they have performed flawlessly. The only issue I have had is I can't get the data loggers to download on my laptop with windows 7. It works fine on my PC with XP though.

I have a couple of the older SF 200's and one new one with the data logger and all are working just fine. If I can figure out the data logger it has to be simple. Set a couple 2 lap records with them. I have pushed them to the point of motor leads desoldering and the only failure so far (knock on wood) has been due to submersion which falls under the category of operator error.

I had one that Ive been running for about 2 months fail last sunday, this is the setup that burned. Fightercat rivercat 32. Tacon 2150kv 4074. Stock prather prop off new blackjack around a 442. Swordfish 200amp esc with data logging. And two gens ace 7.4volt 50c 5000mah batteries in series. Unit did not get wet and was not even warm after 3 minutes of run time, at which point I gave it to my son and told him to have fun but take it easy. He ran it for about 10 minutes and I told him to bring it in after next lap, at that point it made it about 20 feet from the shore and stopped at which point it looked like the miami hurricanes were about to take the field. When i got it in all that was wrong was the esc was burn up but the batteries, motor and boat were all fine. The water cooling was working fine and I dont think I was over powering it by any strech of the imagination.

Keith, how many amps have you pulled from the 300?

All that time of your son running part throttle probably killed it.
Partthrottlee for any greatlengtht of time will kill any ESC as the FETS try to hold back the amps.

You have to save the installation on different disk, not C any other is fine or a pendrive then it'll work fine. it's beacause Win7
has a high protection on running some software. Just install and save on anthing but not C disk

I have the new 220amp Pro and had a some runs with no issues at all on my 21Rig , will be testing also the new 120 Pro on smaller Rig
Also testing the lateset firmware and updated V4.03 program also.
Personally I think that the data log at times is not 100% correct looks like amp draw at times is incorrect since it varies a sensibly although TH is 100% and there is no load
variation on motor during bench testing.

I Totally agree with what you're saying because when I ran the boat it didnt Even get warm. But my son has ran all my other boats for long periods of time and never had this issue, But it was always a 36 mm motor not a 40.
