"The hull arrived today! Rick's new 59" Outerlimits Vee Hull is a truly awesome hull in person and in my opinion the perfect size for today's big bore mod motors. I will be powering it with a Redline 28.5 and deep vee hot pipe along with speed master hardware. I will post pics as I go and video once running. It is definitely going to be fun, I have been looking forward to this one." Posted over on the DOCK.

I thought the FE guys would like to see this one because in my opinion you could build one bada$$ twin FE out this hull!

That thing needs to be FE! It could be done reasonably cheap these days, too!

I agree 100% but since I told Rick I would build this for him, he wanted it to be gas first. It should still run in the mid 60's when I am done. I see an 80 mph boat in the FE version though, in the very near future!

What kind of motors and speed controllers would this take making it a twin Fe. Would the rcmk arneson drives or we steerable drives be a good fit?

Can you take some pic's of the bottom of the boat. I'm trying to decide on a hull for this winters build. It's between this hull, CRC Fountain, and the MHZ Mystic mono.

Plus can you post a link to the build on the Dock.

So your gonna try for 80mph? I'm also gonna try for 80mph. MHZ Mystic Study with twin proteus 528's an SF 300 Pro+'s. Run on 10s. An WD200 hardware. I think I should be able to hit 80mph, gonna try atleast.

Joel have you figured out what power setup your gonna run yet?

hi Guys, i think 80 MPH should be fairly easily achieved, i have a 66 inch custom built full carbon fibre SV43, and before circumstances changed i was intending to run a twin set up using the castle 2028 on 12s. a very torque'y motor able to swing some pitchy props..... un fortunately its for sale / on stop till work pics up again :( . look forward to seeing your build on here some time

Hey Jason what are you asking for it? Has it been drilled yet?

Hi twoollwy08,

yes some has been drilled. it has been drilled for trim tabs(have them to fit) and for custom made mock exhausts which double as water dumps. also the canopy has around 50 or so holes in it ready for the hand polished bolts to go in (to look like real canopies) it is at the spray shop as i type having a spray job as i already booked it an and paid for it. it will be candy blue top sides and airbrushed lightening / hatches/ graphics. with black running surface

shame i cant finish it :( , just has a work out and it has cost me at-least £1900 (inc paint) so far and endless hours adding vents, which then needed filling and fairing, along with seem. how ever i put it on here with out doing the adding up at £1600 / $2600 plus shipping so would stick with that :/ i would conciser sensible offers, but i think if no one can appreciate such an amazing hull (full carbon / kevlar)then i will fab a nice s/steel 10mm bar and have it as decoration in my front room :P....real shame as it should be on the water!!!! some more pics before it has been keyed up (rubbed back) before paint. cant wait to see it when it comes back. if you know any one that may be in the market for something like this please let me know. thanks! I think you should not run 12s on any 780 kv motor, you might let the smoke out or crack the armature.

A 780 KV MOTOR WILL RUN BEST ON 9S LIPO'S.......

You can run it on whatever you want. But if you are saying that they said you could run it on 12s. I would have them send me a warranty card before I ran it on 12s. Granted it would run, and fast as hell. But sooner or later, its gonna burn up. Them big motor like that are not made for high rpm. But if you read the spec's on their motor. It says 30,000rpm max, and 38v max. And 12s is 44.4v, and 34,632 unloaded rpms.
I know I'm going to be running a motor, that is its twin. Same spec's all the way around. And I'm not going over 10s on it.

200amps and 180 degrees :)

My CC 2028 pulls 165 amps and 4,100 watts with 6s lipo in my HPI Baja 1/5 scale truck.

I have run 8s lipo, but the 30 pound truck wheelies onto it's roof too often.

To me 180 degrees is a little on the hot side, I try and keep all my temps below 130 degrees even in the summer. Are you running 8s,9s, or 10s? How hot was your esc? How long was your run?

Plus I was looking at your pictures in your earlier post. Do you have vents on your boat? Like they do on the gas boats.

hi,

yes there are vents, for visual effects and for the rising hot air to escape. the figures are not from trials, they are CC's specs
