I think its six, not 100% sure, but its a beast, OSE used to sell it, dont know if its still available. It would be real close to a 4074 in power. Great for a 28-36" boat.

I have searched the net for a while now and just cannot find much on it. Some of the ammo motors r 6 pole. The motor was developed for DF flying. I have posted on a df site for help on it. Was hoping Steve may know what pole it was. I plan to use it in a 33" mono on 6s. Did find one piece of info on it in a similar hull the person was going to use a 80a HV esc and run a x642 or a m445 on it at 6S. Anyway tried it on you tube and could not find anything on Ammo or eflite either one.

Means that from the customers that bought it, not everyone was happy and I had some returns.

Can u be specific on what they were unhappy with? Also is it a 2,4,6 pole motor?

I just happened to stumble over some that didnt include the ammo 3688 in the title or tags, then in the description it would be listed............

Sorry I don't keep track of that stuff once its gone from the site.

these used to retail at $150 and sell on websites for around $100.00. they weren't worth it at $100. There were far better motors out there at that price range.

there is a reason Tower is selling them for $50 bucks now and its not because they are great and everyone wants one.

Well so guess I have a pig in the poke . :frusty: Dang I thought Ammo had a great reputation without regard to motor size!!:confused2: Should I try to move it or use it?:help: It is paid for. Had great hope for it:sad:

What hull do you have available to throw it in for a test run??? I bet you like it, its a great kv for 6s, in fact same KV as the Neu 1527 1y.

I have 2 but the first that comes to mind is a Aeromarine 36" Scorpion http://www.aeromarinerc.com/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=25&Itemid=53

Mine is Yellow cool hull and light. I also have a 33" epoxy mono made by Maus.

I can post pics of both a little later here if u want to seem them.

I bet that motor can put out in the 1300-1400 watt range...........2 h.p. The rpms are just a tad lowish for 6s but you can prop up.

That's the problem, you probably won't be able to prop up. From what I could find they didn't have the power that folks expected.

Not 100% sure but I am thinking the only Ammo motors that are 6 pole are 1800 and 2030 RTR motors. All of the others are 2 pole. Grim would be a good one to confirm.

I think you will like it in those size hulls.

I try to steer people to motors in that rpm range for 6s. people that want long runtime, and a fast sport setup.

I have decided to keep it and run on 6s. 28-29500 rpms will be ok for a nice sport boat which is all I build anyway now.
