Not really sure if I am going to do this or not but seriously thinking of making this an RC Hydro. They already make a motor, shaft and rudder kit but I want to actually control it with a radio so need to find a real small receiver, servo and make or modify the rudder that comes with the motor kit. Thinking 1 cell lipo and possibly a real small outrunner also.

Comments, suggestions encouraged just not on my sanity for trying this

To cool Jim!
The receivers I use are only about 1"x3/4" for the flysky controllers.
Or better yet find yourself 1 of the micro helicopters on ebay for cheap and use all the parts from that.
I have seen people turn the micro heli into air boats after they crash them.

Shawn that sounds interesting for sure. What do you mean by it doesn't lift any more? Does the motor not work?

The motor works but it just won't boost it up. Tried a new battery but still a no go.I did mess with the swash plate and who knows what else.Heli's aren't my thing anyway. I can probably get it into a smaller box than it came in to ship. The box is a good painting pedestal so I should keep that anyway.Haha

Only 1 way to learn Jim I'm sure you can make it work.
Should be a super fun pool boat!
Shoot make that a puddle boat!

Jim,you want to PM me you're addy and I'll get this off today.Do you want this Tx?It is 4 ch Tactic,72.910.The Rx/ESC runs two motors independantly. You could power a twin micro with no rudder. However there is two servo's here as well.

Got it SRISlash about the only thing that will not work is the battery which is too big for a 7 inch boat.
Oh and the fact I didn't think about the radio and receiver are 72 so probably not a good idea to use it in a boat.
Thanks again

Nice build.I must say that this is one of the nice models that I have seen in a long time. You truly get what you pay for in this model and that really shows the amount of time you will spend making the model I would recommend this to anybody. The pieces are formed with precision and this turned out to be a beautiful model that is closer to the real thing.

Brett
