water lines are all aluminum tubing very little Silicone Tubing ....i made the tubing holders from left over material from the World War II,Waco CG-4A gliders that were built at the Ford Motor Company Plant in neighboring Kingsford MI that my dad had in the garage from my grandpa....i made them so i could put the tubing in with rubber grommets to maybe help with any vibration i hope..lol...i ground them i lil bit on the bottom so the expoxy will hold better ill in stall them to night and take more pictures

Nothing wrong with it! Just be sure the silicone lines are a tight fit so they don't pop off under pressure. They look tight.

Should be fine but I would add zip ties to make sure the water lines don't come off.

I use the clips on the water lines ,available here at Steve,s , very inexpensive!

Looks very nice, i have gone to aluminum tubing on the long straight sections. I certainly decreases "friction", increases flow, and is just more efficient overall. Plus it looks very nice................bling bling!!

Looks good but too many connections and the aluminum tubing is going to bounce around and break free of the silicone connections I would use all silicone tubing keep if simple.

Whats a reality about most of the posts concerning water lines, bullets, wire gauge etc, is that it makes almost no difference when folks are using more than adequate parts to begin with, and and are concerned when the item is 10% 'smaller' than the other option etc...................its not an issue unless someone is involved in sanctioned racing or is using eqiupment that is on the edge for the particular setup to start with.........the measured advantage is so minimal is really isnt an issue.

Ski;
very nice and tidy.
just make sure and use zip ties on all the silicon tubing.

With water temps in your area, I would say definitely overkill, the only price is the drag from the quad water intake...
If you aren't worried about getting the most speed out of your craft, then no problem.

I would not trust the silicone. Like others said use the special clamps or put same diameter tubing over your waterline.
This way the tubing will not suddenly popoff.
(see picture below for example)

Zip ties will not clamp the waterline in a nice circle. That way you can have a leak or when tightening them to much they can cut into your waterline

I like the 'same diameter tube' clamps Remmie. Good idea!

Remmie where did you get the colored tubing

Looks neat...aluminum tubing is inexpensive. What is your setup (motor/esc/lipo count)?

Nevermind...I read you are using Neu 1527 1y 6s1p 5000mah lipos. Watch runtimes using those small 5000mah packs. Packs will puff if not careful.

where did you see that i am running 6s2p 5000mah lipos?........i am not i am running neu 1527 1y with Castle Creations Hydra ICE 240A 33.6V w/Switching BEC and 2 Dinogy Brand Batteries..6s 5000mah 65c ...the reason i ask if it says i am using the 6s2p 5000mah lipos i would like to change it ..............Thanks Jim

I misread. You have plenty capacity. Two 5000mah packs wired 6s2p equals 10000mah

If you feel that the current setup is too heavy, you could go use two lighter weight 4200 6s lipos (8400mah). Lighter weight will run less wet, but of course runtime may be shorter.

I use two NEU 8300mah 3s packs wired in series for my 6s1p setup (1527 1y, Castle LV 240 ICE), but my hull is a hydro.

will the NEU 8300mah 3s packs give me a longer time ...this is my first boat so i am still learning ...i want to build another one befor spring that will run longer what motor and batteries will give me a longer run time and whats is a good boat i was thinking of something with a v-hull

Using your same motor/esc the run time will be shorter using the 8300 6s1p. Your two 5000 pack 6s2p will run longer (8300 vs. 10000mah)

Nice bends - I wish I could do that. I just built two customer spec FE30's with straight runs of brass tubing - easy and neat.

My Drifter uses a spark plug wire separator I stole from my motorcycle

I hand-made some carbon fiber separators for the Cheetah I built for Cameron

When I find time to rig my Cheetah I think I'll try your polished tubing idea-looks really nice. I talked to Keith about having him crank out some CF separators and he may do so (when He finds the time )

hey properchopper i used 7/32 tubing and i used my left over 3/16 flex cable inside the tubing to get the bends....on the tight bends i would put my vice grip on the cable and turn it so the cable tightens and shrinks and pull as you turn it worked great
