Stinger or strut?

My buddy is going to be building a Pirate 35" soon and I was telling him to use a strut instead of a stinger. Seems like most of the nitro guys are using struts for the adjustability but when I look on these forums Everyone is using a stinger. Just curious to see if anyone here is using a strut over the stinger?

judging from what I have seen and heard most are using a stinger as the angle can be adjusted easier...just my opinion though.
