(Title should read 45x68)
Is anyone else running a GrimRacer 45x68?
The stock GrimRacer 42x55 works great, but WOW the 45x68 is fun!
I was very surprised to find temps were nearly the same with the 45x68 as 42X55. I expected them to be quite a bit higher. Tested on wind rippled pond, winds were about 15MPH but pond is down 10-15ft from road. No GPS, but boat seemed 3-4MPH faster.
It seems the 45x68 is a 'lifter'. Running with about 4* degrees positive on strut. Boat was running on the last 5in or so of hull. At one point, running into the wind and over it's own wake, the boat blew over like my Motley Crew would have done.
I bought a few props to test:
GimRacer 38X66
GrimRacer 42x55
GrimRacer 42X66
GrimRacer 44X66
GrimRacer 45x68
between my (stock) boats:
Aquacraft Revolt 30 - Best Prop: GrimRacer 45x68
Aquacraft Motley Crew - Best Prop: GrimRacer 42x55
ProBoat Stiletto 29 - Best Prop: GrimRacer 45x66
Venom P1 KOS - Best Prop: GrimRacer 42x66
(converted to 4s with all Revolt30 gear, inside and out)
