Just a quick picture build log of this little rigger offered by Hobby King.
I bought the unassembled version. All wood is 2mm 3 layer ply- not the best. I had to deal a great bit with warped pieces by soaking in hot water and letting dry between heavy flat items. I ended up using 1/32" ply around the sponsons on the compound curve. I then filled the sponsons with 2lb expanding foam.
I learned alot on this build and my next one should go a LOT better. I learned to mix that 2 part foam REAL good or it will suck back in. Also learned to really take your time when building in wood. Mistakes stick out like a sore thumb if you dont.
Hardware:
Kintec small hydro strut ($16)
HK small rudder (look for a better one)
ADS 400XL (3300kv) 567w
Octura 3/16" to 1/8" X .130 cable
Etti 3mm to .130 cable
2200mah 3S biggest packs that will fit.
Going to try an TFL X432 detongued and back cut.
