I just noticed that there is a VERSION TWO of the Impulse 31 that looks like it is strikingly similar to the Traxxas Spartan. http://www.horizonhobby.com/products/impulse-31-deep-v-bl-rtr-v2-PRB4250B#t1
I was wondering if anyone had any reviews of it yet, and/or how it compares to the Spartan? From what I can tell, it's a bit smaller, has a fiberglass hull, and is a little cheaper. What does everyone think?

It has a different motor and a new 80a speedo, bout time they went up on the speedo as the original stock motor, and this one I imagine, can take a good amouont of prop. Now folks can get into the low 40's on the stock setup with just a prop upgrade.

Spartan is a over-priced hunk of plastic. Save your money and get the impulse. Built by a racer and not some advertising company that was more worried about the stickers and the name rather than its performance.

I hope they fix all the leaking problems in the new version. My Impulse 31 was leaking through the drain plug and all the screws from the trim tabs out of the box
Still waiting for Horizon to get back to me in terms of warranty.

Hi Guys,
does it mean mannytx1, that you run your IM on 6s?
And if you did, please tell us how it seems?
Is it the truth what they say at Peoboat that the New IM is copatible with 6s?
Thanks.
