Will this prop add any performance to my UL-1...GrimRacer 42x55 2-Blade? The Ul-1 is all stock?

Best prop is l40/57/3, but you can try 42/55. I tried the x442, which is, in grim numbers, a 42/58. Worked ok, but needed more lift in my opinion. Hydros need lifting props, and the 42/55 doesn't have ALOT of lift. L40/57/3 has good lift and more pitch. Got 50 on stock setup with that prop

Thanx Dana...Was that L40/57/3 sharpened and balanced? There is no one local that can do that, that I know of...I live in New York State. I'm now using the 40/52/3
seems ok but if I can get better performance from the 40/57/3, that's even better. I will be racing my Ul-1 on the 8-9 of Sept. at Brick Pond, in Elmira, NY. 6 laps races.
Thanx again

Contact Dasboata he on the forum (www.dasboata.com)

He is in NY and does some of the best props around and can probably have it to you in a day or two.
I know local racer here who runs a 42x55 and has one of the fastest boats in our club.
Also a few of them run the 3 blade AQ prop with good success just depends on your preference.
IMO 3 blades are a bit more touchy then the 2 blades.

As Jeff said, contact dasboata. You will need that prop done very well. I've tried several props on that boat, and the three blade works best IMO. The l40/57/3 will take a couple of seconds to hook up, so when you nail it, it will cavitate a good amount, but then when it hooks up, hold on!

We have tried the 40/57/3 prop...did not work at all on the UL-1 OR on a V hull Delta Force. Just to try that prop on a different hull. The 40/57 made the UL dive and the
Delta Force SLOW. SO, a 38/55/2 was used and it was a MUCH better prop, the UL flew.
