This power system came out of my Cheetah (I sold the hull/hardware). I ran it only a couple times on 16s spinning a x548 prop. It had gobs of power and the temps after running were incredibly low (almost ambient). Here's what it consists of:

* TP 4092 540kv motor
* HRC water jacket
* Fighter Cat 20s ESC (rated at 100A for 20s, but can take much more at lower voltages).

Selling the entire setup for $250 shipped

Hey Keith, I'm new to this brushless boat thing! I'm building a 37" Daytona I allready purchased a TP 4092 1650kv motor and was planing on running it on 6-8s using a FC 240amp esc seems like these are hard to get these days would this ESC your selling run this motor at 10 or 12s or higher? What speed did you get out of the Cheetah with this? I was trying to get 55-60 MPH to begin with out of The Daytona, not trying to set any records just having FUN.

Yes, the ESC can handle up to 20s and has an anti spark hook-up available as well. I never GPSed the Cheetah as it was only meant to be a sport boat. The Cheetah handles great but it's wide and not the best choice for big straight-line speed. I would guess that it went around 60 with this setup though...you could definitely go that fast or faster in a Daytona hull.

Yes. I'll sell just the ESC for $175 shipped.
I would also cut someone a deal if they wanted the combo but had their own jacket...I'm always needing 40mm water jackets so I wouldn't mind keeping this one.

How much of a deal, and would 16s 5000mah be to much weight in a DF39 running a x447/3 with this setup?
mid 60's maybe... :huh:
thanks

I would take $25 off if you don't want the jacket, so $225 shipped.

16s/5000mah wouldn't be too much. It would be the same as 8s/10,000mah, which I have personally ran in a mono that size and it ran great.
I would however run something like a x452, not a x447/3. The x452 was the smallest prop I ran on my mono, and it handled great. I think the 4092 would spin it no problem...it's almost the same total pitch as the x548 I was spinning with it.

so is the x447/3 to small?
I also have a x450/3?
what speeds could I expect with a x452?
thanks

In my opinion it's small. I used a s240 most of the time, which is quite larger, but I had a larger motor as well (2215).
With the x452 I would expect 60ish.
