I am getting ready to upgrade my Triton hull. It is 33 inches long with the flood chamber. I want to run 14 cells. Should I run a brushless L motor or XL motor? I am currently running a 12L with an SV27 ESC on 12 cells. I was looking at the 8L motors on OSE. I will also be getting a new ESC if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it. Will

I can't speak for anyone else, but in my Triton I'm running a 10xl on a Hacker master navy 70, 16 cells. just under 40mph. Been very reliable for a year now.

Yes you're right SJ, thanks, forgot to mention that! 1.33/1 ratio, X645 prop. You could probably accomplish the same direct drive with an X642.

One other thing I should mention, I started out on the above setup with a 1.4x40 carbon prop, went to a 42, then a 45. It was after testing with these that I settled on a X645 for a final choice. (For the same setup with direct drive an X645 would be too much in my opinion) Carbon props are a great way to test a new setup without too big of an investment.
