Hello Guys,

I need your expertise to select faster/better motor for my good old reliable TT Outlaw Jr boat. I am looking for a direct fit if possible because I am trying to keep the mod at its min since I don't want to modify the whole interior. I have attached the motor specs that are shown on the boat's manual.

I appreciate everyone's help and contribution

the problem I've found while working with someone else on this is the mount doesnt seem big enough for a 28mm inrunner with a water jacket. We havent physicly tried it, just going from his measurements. If it would, a 2860 would go nicely with a 90 or 120 amp esc.

Steve,

Can you send me a link to your store where I can take a look at the motor you are talking about? Also a link to a recommended motor mount would be great.

Thanks

If you want a faster boat with more reliability,

replace the mount with a ose-80230, This will take modifying the boat and mount.
the motor with a leopard 3650 2290kv,
the esc with a seaking 120
the battery with a 3s 35c 5000mah pack. Use 5.5 bullets on the battery ends. and at least 4.mm bullets on the motor to esc. 5.5 would also be better there.

I see the motor mount already has water cooling on it. I assume I won't need a water jacket, correct? Will reinforcing the hull be needed for the new motor mount? Thank you Steve.

If your using a Leopard or any other inrunner motor you still need a water jacket on the motor, the water cooled mount is not sufficent to cool an inrunner motor.
