Hi, now the question comes wich motors is better for the 41" Zonda cat in Twinsetup

2x Swordfish 200amps plus esc
2x counter rotating props (40-45mm)
2x 5s 5000mah 50/100c

they must be 4082 leopard, but wich one, the 2200kv 1.5Y or the 2000kv 4D? (dont want to burn my esc´s, but want to drive the boat like a lightning, max speed)

Have you tried the motors that come in it? You should run those first. If you're running 40-45mm props tehy should be fine, unless they are very poor quality.

thats the problem, im scared of driving the 37mm that comes with them, what if they destroy my esc´s -.- i think its better i put the 37 in a another cat (rescue boat haha) and the leopards into the zonda. dont want to destroy my esc´s or motors.

running @ start 43mm props that comes witht he zonda, ordered 45mm and gonna try them on the leopards with onboard esc and motor heat controll.

what you think about that?

no, but my first catamaran twinsetup and first motor chose, the motors i have buyd before i find in the forums (like the one i buyd for my spartan, 4082 1600kv 2y, want to sell it in austria somewhere for only 100 Euro, dont use them once -.-)

I would just buy two 4074 2200kv. I don't think getting 4082 will gain you anything over 4074. You could even go with 3674 Leo. You have a twin why you think you need two 4082?

i just want to put max speed in it with 5s lipos, and in the other threads eversyone say go for 4082 leo, so i want to do so, but wich kv i shoud take, 2000, 2200, Y or D? i dont know -.-

You have ALOT of questions about a boat you don't even have yet. Why don't you slow down and just wait to get the thing.

3/16 gap

Mecka1990
08-21-2012, 11:03 PM
thats another boat, hahahah, thats the spartan with the flex problem, i lost my last flex because i only let 3-4 mm to the stinger from the drive dog, i think when i get speed and the flex starts to roll around it gets smaller and so i lost it, no room for flexing or how it was said.

what you mean with 3/16 gap? my english is not the best, and translater translate this: 3/16 gap (head->wall)

Mecka1990

a 3/16 gap is 3/16 of the widh from the flex? so about 4-6mm?

dana

Make gap same width as flex cable size ok?

Mecka1990

If a 3674 4 pole motor won't spin a 43mm prop, I would throw them in the trash, not another boat.
