Hey guys I just got my fcr motor today and in the little bag that came with it there are two Little Cooper washers and a snap ring?? Um I have no clue what they are for. I'm guessing they are to keep the shaft from moving into the motor cause its a outrunner. But seems like in another thread guys were talking about having a bearing there. U assumed that beings add fightercat does boat motors that would already be on them?

take a look at the output shaft of the motor.
There is SUPPOSED to be the 2 shims AND the Snap ring in place there already.

If they are NOT there, then place both shims down on the output shaft
and then using snap ring pliers (if you have them) CAREFULLY spread the tabs
of the snap ring while sliding it down the output shaft
and into its grove on the shaft. IF you have a good hardware store in your area,
take the snap ring to the store FIRST and buy a few extra snap rings.

They do tend to pop off the pliers just as you are ready to pop it into the grove and go flying into
where ever and never be heard from again. :frusty:

Is it ready to be installed at that point?

once you get the shims and snapring put on, it is ready for mounting.
