Anyone found any 90 degree nipples that will fit the proboat water jackets?

might end up just buying a silicone water jacket so the tubes don't exit straight up

might end up just buying a silicone water jacket so the tubes don't exit straight upBe prepared for a boat full of water. Every silicone jacket in our club boats leaked like a sieve after a short time, even with plenty of bathtub caulk around the edges. Better to plug the existing jacket holes and re-drill for the nipples below. That way you can put them in the right places - exit high on top, inlet as low as possible.

I don't know what the thread is on the water jacket but check these out. Scroll down a bit and there are several 10-32 90 degree and swivel fittings. .http://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-barbed-tube-fittings/=if9hjn click on the brass fittings on the left and scroll down.

What size motor are you using? I've got a new Traxxas silicone water jacket you can have. Works well on the spartan 36mm motor.

36 mm diameter is what the proboat motors are

The holes are 4mm thread. Steve sells 90 degree fittings that fit http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=etti-a030

But, IMO it would be better to have the 5mm threaded Leopard 90* fittings, they will flow much much more water and be that much cooler.

The Chinese fittings are cheap but, they flow allot more than the above 4mm or even the brass 5mm threaded ones Steve sells (HRC type replacements)

I'm going back to the chinese fittings. When it's in the right position, add slow set epoxy or some CA to set them in place and no leaks.

After burning up 2 UL-1's at an event 2 weeks ago, I've been relearning cooling practices.

This 90* days and 90* water is challenging!!
