I'm in the UK and the current line of proboat fast electric boats retail at around the £300 mark. I was really interested in the BJ29 so decided to do a search and I've seen it on 2 UK websites for £179.99 which works out at about $250 to you guys in the US. This seems very cheap to me as the impulse V2 is priced at £279.99. Needless to say I snapped one up and await it on pre order. Just wondering if this is a mistake? Regardless I've paid now and if they argue the toss surely they have to give it me at that price as I've paid.

They're listed at $419 USD on the ProBoat website, maybe you're getting one without hardware/radio gear or a smaller version incorrectly listed as the BJ29. I mention the smaller boats because some of the new smaller boats are in that price range.

It's deffo the BJ29 RTR. I don't really want to put the link up as steve will sell them but it says includes spektrum 2.4ghz radio, 80a esc, 1800kv dynamite motor and listed on what is needed to complete the model it says batteries and charger!

Sounds like you got a heck of a deal then, seems very cheap for that setup, I wish I found a deal like that for my Impulse!

I think they have dropped a bit of a klanger there though. But it's advertised at that price so I will make sure I get it at that :)

What will you be asking for the stock motor and esc?

Shipping from South Africa is going to be more expensive than the hardware itself, so I guess I'll keep them as back-up... Similiar items will appear on eBay soon, I believe...
