If you are only running two packs at a time in series then you are fine. I have the Triton charger and I have no complaints. The Triton 2 is what replaced it.

Frankly, it is hard to beat an Astro 110 Deluxe. Not a lot of features that you don't need, just plug and play. Up to 24 cells too.

You can run packs in series, but only packs made from the same cells. You can't mix 3600s and 4200s for example. It is best to charge them as a single pack, but you can get away with charging them as three individual six packs.

Yes you can solder deans on to battery leads.

sure actually thats the only and best way ! the solder has lead and tin in it plus its adhesive . plus they give you shrink wrap the leads . definatly recommend it !!

If running only 6 cell packs why not get s deul charger like the super brain 977 PRO...you can charge 2 packs at one time up to 9 cell packs.

One thing to be careful about when replacing connectors on batteries is to not short the leads accidently - something that can easily happen if you're not aware of it constantly and not good for the battery.

Check out the MRC Super Brain 989. It comes with a power supply and is similar to the Triton 2 but more powerful. I have one and going to get another.

I just got a Triton II and I do love it. I had to shell out another 80 bones to Radio Shack for a 15V 11Amp power supply.

It was a good chunk of my hobby money but Now I have a charger I can run off my car battery (good for camping trips) and I have a power source I can tinker around with in the shop for testing components directly. I also like having the power source to mess around on my breadboard circuitry.

I do not have direct experience with all the chargers listed here, but if you pick any of them you should be happy.
