Ok, so its not a speed demon, but it sure does get a reaction at the local pond!
I'm a member of the Indianapolis Admirals R/C Model Boat Club (http://www.indyadmirals.org). I built this because I thought it was cool, and I thought others would really enjoy it as well, especially kids. I've been working on it for the last year and a half on and off. Its a Pram Dinghy from RCM plans (April 1991 issue).
Its constructed from Sintra PVC and mahogany. Its big! Probably 1/4 scale. Kermit's hand is connected to the tiller arm, which is controlled by a servo which is hidden under the seat. So, it looks like Kermit is busy sailing the dinghy!
She's named "Miss Piggy" of course! I can aim you towards the build thread if you are interested.
Its first voyage was last Sunday at the Admirals summer picnic. She did great! Needs a little stern weight, but the bottom of the stern is supposed to be above the water line. So, I'll add enough to tilt it down another 1/2 inch or so.
