Hey guys I have a charger and a old hard case suitcase I am thinking of making a battry/charger field box something to carry my chargers and batteries. I know I will have to extend the charge leads a bit. I am planning on having the chargers mounted to the lid the case opens sideways and maybe my power supplys in the case or on the lid as well. I may just leave the power supplys out of it as there usualy isnt a power plug at the lake. I just dont like having the charger loose in the car while going to the lake or while at the lake and want to protect it and get better organized. Has anyone else built one like this and if so would you mind showing pics to give me ideas thanks

If you search "portable charging stations" the helicopter guys have some pretty amazing charging rigs.
ProgressiveRC (http://www.progressiverc.com/) sells parts to convert their Pelican type cases.

Here's my rig, it's a Rubbermaid toolbox with a Powerlab 6 and a 24v 47amp power supply. At the pond I can use deep cycle batteries or a generator.

thats nice I may have to go to a tool box as well. Whats under the chargers in the box? and what kind of chargers are you using thats allot of balance boards.

The 24v power supply, fan and connections are under the lexan shelf. The charger is a Revolectrix PowerLab 6 (http://www.revolectrix.com/pl6_description_tab.htm) with a MPA - Multi-Port Safe Parallel Adapter (http://www.usastore.revolectrix.com/Products_2/MPA_2/MPA-XH_2)
for parallel charging of up to 6 same-cell-count packs at one time. The rest of the stuff is just testers, spare chargers, and a ton of connectors.

You can get balance tap extensions that make it a lot easier to connect your batteries as well. 3m dual-lock is kind of like a heavy duty velcro but both sides are the same it works great for attaching stuff to your box.

I have never used a parallel charger before does it mean the batts are all charging off of one port? Can you add a batt after you start charging say 4 batts? or do you have to wait for the cycle to finish? I am getting a charger from a buddy of mine I think its a hyperion but its just one pack at a time I also have a turnigy and was going to use them at the same time but may have to go with one of these.
