Hey Guys,
Im having this classic battle between voltage and motor to achieve more speed, and looking for some advise. I am running a Mystic with an SK180, 1500 kv (MG) motor, and Hyperion 5000, 45c batts.(2 cell, in series). I have 6mm bullets on everything. I have 3 props: x642, m445, grim 42x55 all s/b/p. I have it running pretty well with little to no bounce at speed, and im getting about 43 mph with the m445, a couple mph less with the other two props. I am ready to go faster! I have been doing alot of reading (daily) on this forum, and just have a couple questions to help me decide which way to go. First off, i have a 3 cell hyperion same mah and c and i was wondering if i should try to run 5s without disabling the bec on my sk180. Second, If i decide to just motor up and stick to 4s... I noticed alot of you are running parallel set ups on the bigger motors. I have 14- 2s batts. all wired with bullets, so i would like to keep running in series. Is that gonna cause any problems? Im thinking of maybe going with a UL-1 motor, or a leopard 3674 2200, or a leopard 4074 2200 if i stick with 4s. So i guess it all boils down to this, if i am trying to keep running my batts in series, should i go with more voltage or more motor to achieve more speed efficiently? Thanks in advance for any input!
