I am building a custom PB mystic for a friend. I'm not familiar with this boat and was womdering were my CG should be set. I know these boats have bounce problems if not built correctly and I want to avoid any potential issues. It will be setup with a 4074 on 4S. Any help is greatly appreciated.

As of now I'm waiting for the motor, esc and a few other items to arrive. I really need some advice on setting up the CG on these hulls. here's some photos of what I have so far.

If its the same as the geico which it should be then the cg is at about 30% from the transom. 9-10 inches.

That's HH suggestion with the stock setup. That should apply no matter what the setup is. I see you run a geico on 2200kv is that the PB? And are you using the same CG setup? I'm trying to find the best location for the battery trays so that the batts can be moved around to achieve the best performance based on water conditions. I've seen some guys adding to the stock battery trays so they can move the batts all the way back. I don't wanna set mine up to far forward if that's the case.

I might suggest looking thru the many setup threads where all this has been talked about numerous times.

Jim,

Thanks. I've tried a search but my forum skills are limited. didn't find much. I'll try again. I know I'm not the first to build one of these.

Jim can you suggest any keywords for my search? I made a very specific search but came up with tons of matches but nothing really addressing this issue. Any help is greatly appreciated.

mtbenjamin77, how did you get the stock plywood out of the hull, ive been looking at mine and dont know where to start, whatever pb used to fasten the pieces together looks brutal to remove, any assistance you could give would be apreciated

Use a pair of pliers and work the pieces back and forth. Then use some coarse grit sand paper to smooth out the leftovers
