Realiability, which one gives the best service when used in reasonable setups??

I'd really like to hear from those who have used both.

Thanks,
Doug

Personally I like the BJ set up with lipo's..I've heard of problems with nimhs..and I've had problems with nimhs, but with lipo's.. it's sweet...plus the BJ set up hands up to a 5s max so a 4s would be perfect...plus the cogging is not as pronounced on the BJ motor...one discrepancy is the BJ motor rpm..some say 1500kv some say 1606kv, another thing is the BJ cooling set-up to me is much more efficient.

Doug IMHO from a performance standpoint the AquaCraft system is the way to go. Neil is correct in regards to the cooing being better on the ProBoat system. This as we both know is over come with a good aluminum jacket and some home made copper cooling plates. The SV system seemed to produce more torque..again IMO. The SV esc is also much smaller and lighter than the PB unit. If I where going to run a spec 4s class the SV system would be my choice.

Hey Doug we have a class of hydros running both systems it seems that the AQ system seems more reliable and faster.

The two boats running the BJ sytems the esc keeps cutting cutting out in them.

The BJ motor can is the same as the SV slotted 18 But the BJ rotor magnets are not exposed like the SV...The BJ Rotor has a Black coating over the magnets

I opened a BJ and SV motor The BJ is on the left and the SV on the right, Both have 6 magnet strips and 18 metal slots in their cans

Most are running on x640s. The fastest boat in that class was running a y536
mostly cause he has a S bend in his driveline and it heats up the motor bad, This is a spec class so even the props were limited, as long as its 40mm max thay can run what ever they want.

I have a video of a race, its to large for photobucket so I will try youtube.
