    df25 prop question....

I just tossed in a castle 1515 2200kv in my df25 and I have a bunch of appropriate props here but just wonering if anyone has had good luck with a specific prop in this setup,I was thinking of an x642,maybe m445,possibly x437/3 but maybe a tad small......I also have a grim 42x55 to try out.

m445 will be crazy fast and probably too much, but give it a try, the motor will not have a problem with it so long as you have a good esc 120amp. I would guess with a boat that size maybe a x442 or x440??

The 437/3 will surprise you on that set up. give it a go. A 440/3 is my favourite prop in that size boat with that kv motor.
See the danger. THEN DO IT ANYWAY!!!

my df 26 has leo 2200. my current prop is x640. other props i liked are x442 and x440/3. smaller diameter props work better for me because larger props make the hull twist and act funny. i tried a proboat plastic prop (x642 equivilent) didnt like it at all.

          Driftah,

I am running a little lower rpm than you, but I have noticed that actually, a X438 and the X637 work really well on the top end and I have way less chine walk and torque roll. The x640 is a great one but the torque roll acts up a bit more, but no cavitation like the X438/X637 sizes. (not that it is much of an issue anyways) The X642 range just seems to be too big to keep the smaller hull stable. But my setup is not 100% ironed out either....

I have one experiment to run, which is to put the prather 215 on and see if I have the same torquing. I get absolutely none on my fastech with that prop..... But it is a different hull too. So we will see.
