Ok I need some opinions. I picked up some spare hardware and now I'm considering going twins in the MM. Since I am in no hurry to get it in the water I can drag the build out and nickle and dime it. I would run Hex120s and thinking low cost lipos or 10 Nimh per motor.. Well guys...Lemi have it:)

I'm re-thinking the twins and triples on the BlackJack, is the MM about the same size??

Way bigger Doby. It's 5 inches longer and almost 4 wider. 30 x 11

i think it would be sweeeet...and fast....it def has enough room.....i think it would be worth it and it probly hasnt been done or hasnt been done very often but all in all i think you should do what yuo want.....i think 90% of us would love to seen twins but thats up to you in the end

i think you should do twins. 3s2p per motor use like L series motors in the boat and use it for just straights.

well i would say 2 8xl would be good.....wouldnt you need less torque with twins

L hu Mr Shaw.. Are you implying I am going to need more rpm than the XL?

is fast better?
the diffrence between the L and XL is kinda minimal. and you get more rpm out of it as well.
i have a friend who ran a P setup with a 10L and won most of his heats he ran in. he may just be a good driver or everyone else sucked.
but you know.

I'll give them a shot. I havent used the L series yet so it will add to my knolege base @ best. I'm thinkin a set of 8s..@ just over 3k. Start out on the 40mm prop.

I personally feel twin is where speed is, obviously you can run higher rpm less voltage with double power. keep that nose way up in the air and just your a$$ end in the water... prop walker

I was thinking about the placment of the internals today. Keeping every thing tward the back is going to be a priority. I am gooing to leave as much of the tunnel area free as possible for moving batteries around. I dont want more than a few inches of stuffing tube. Low profile carbon fiber motor mounts will be the best bet I am thinking.
