Are you sure thats a Castle motor? Looks like a Neu to me. Worth every bit of $100 if its a genuine Neu.

A couple different ways. CC motors (40mm and larger) have a front bearing plate that is attached with 3 screws. Neu motors with a front bearing plate that screws in to the can have 4. Also CC motors are sealed with the exception of the A/C version of the 1717. So if your motor has holes in the front and back of the motor its a Neu. And look at the rotor. A CC rotor is wrapped in light green kevlar. A Neu rotor has no wrapping. Probably the biggest give away that your motor is a Neu is look at the very front edge of the motor. It has a slight taper in the diameter. At least 5 of my Neu's have that feature. None of my CC do. Castle built motors with Neu Engineering help. Both make excellent motors. Neu and Castle have different product lines and are not the same company.
