After beating her up all last summer I decided it was time for a new look....What do you think?
stock motor,t-180, X642 running 5s. GPS'd at 44mph. How is that for this set up? Probably going to get
a leopard 4074-2200 or a 4082-2200 with a X645 on 5s. Any suggestions.
Love this boat she's always run great.
Wish I had a better shot of her at speed. videos to come soon I hope.

thanks, my wife was glad to get it out of the garage. You can probably tell it was inspired by a simplified " Aqua-Mania"
Thanks again Ron. I really like the way it looks in the water idleing away.

Looks great,:tiphat:
Not sure on setup for that boat.
But a friend,Tunnelvision on hear is running a 6s setup with a 130amp HV Seaking not sure on motor,
But it runs nice and cool in the 90f in the 55 mph range.

That looks great Ripper.I run a CC 1515 2200 and 180 in mine, Miss Behavin".After a good flip in the air trying 5s with the 1515 I had to rebuild/paint mine.I have done 5s recently and as long as you just roll into the power it gets going.Otherwise it is all over.Oh yeah,I run either a X645 or M645.

thanks Srislash, Your Miss Behavin is also sweet. I hope the leapard motor works out 4074-2200 I'd like to get 55 to 60 mph out of her. I really don't think she should be going much faster than 60.

I found that these hulls like to become airplanes at 57mph.The tunnel is steep at the front which causes the nose to flip up.It will go but at that point any little wake...

Very pritty you should try tapeing a popsickle stick to the underside of the tunnel sideways, i used to do it on my hydros it cuts the air thats going threw the tunnel!!!

Hey Ripper, that's a nice paintjob on your Geico!!!! I found that my geico does mid 50's all day long and she seems to be on the edge of flipping.... I am running the same setup as Shawn's mis-behaven.... I think most people don't relize how fast 55 mph feels lime in a 29 inch hull... It's pretty fast. I have a 45 inch gasser that goes 78 mph and it feels slower than my geico at times!!!

:iagree:I was out at a lake on Sunday and man,I needed the whole lake to get her going and sustain. It is hard to keep on top of it that far away.

Thanks Brushless. I'm still running the stock motor and thought an X645 was a little too much prop for that motor but maybe I'll try it anyway and if it blows up, so be it. I should have a 4082 by then ready to drop in. Yeah, I think I'll try the 645 just to see what happens.

M645..
The X might be to much for it?
Or even a M445 could work great..

I ordered an M645 yesterday from Kintec. I like Chris and he has always been very helpful. I'm going to try it out on my current set up and see what happens. Seems like a lot of pitch but what can happen other than I cook something like the stock motor which already has some major hours on it. So we'll see I'll let you know how it goes.
Like I said, it GPS'd at 44 mph. I hope to get closer to 50 mph just with the prop change.

4S2P on stock motor, back cut and tip cup M445 and I run 42-43mph. M445 on 5S would be too much i.m.o. Ive smoked 3 motors on my set up heat racing... literally. thats why I backcut the prop. Havent lost a motor since. Also had to go to 8mm bullets, motor to esc, yes 8, from 5.5 to try and help those Proboat chinsey wires stay a little cooler.

I just recently rebuilt a Mystic for a member, 4074 220 and ran a TFL 445 on 4s and it runs high 50s. Fantastic running boat, but as all will say, get squirrely at those speeds.

Best of luck to you and keep us posted

EDIT: OH and most importantly, Your boat looks fantastic!!!!!!

Here goes again. Boat ran great as always. GPS'd at 44.9mph which seems about right for stock motor, T-180 esc and an X642 prop. I used the old GPS from my car....it weighs about a pound, some I figure another mile an hour just by takin' out the GPS. Let me know what you think. I like both the shots. Catchin' air is cool but I wish it was sharper (I blamed the wife again).

Hey Guys, can anyone tell me.....do I need to change the timing on my T-180 esc to run the Leopard 4082-2200 that I have coming this week ?

I should probably start a new thread for this, huh?
