I just picked up a new Stilleto. I don't race my boats, except the better half and her Miss Gieco and my Spartan LOL (with all the mods)
Would like some help on best all round props to use, two or three blade. Also what Lipo's best match for this boat but I guess that depends on the prop too. I now have SS P215's I just got from OSE on the other two boats, talk about professional balancing and thinning (Thanks OSE)!!
Thanks Guys

Gerald from Canada

Thanks Chiefy I just ordered the last S&B - S.S. P220 OSE had. Hard to find 4 Cell 5000mh here in canada would using two 2S 5000MH 25C Lipos work the same. I am still having a hard time understanding all the lingo on batteries.

You can use 2 2S 5000MA. I would get 40C or higher if you can!!!! You can see the difference!

I agree with Jason the higher C rated cells the better, I started with 40/90 nano tech and they were ok but when I switched to thunder power 65c cells there was a big difference.
Read the race prep post that Darin Jordan wrote and do everything he suggests as they do make a big difference also makes maintance easier.

Thank you Gentleman
I have been reading Darins race prep post and have learned a lot. In regard to the batteries I see Thunder Power 5300MAH, 2S, 7.4V G6 Pro Race
65C with Deans part #THP53002SP65C would this be the one you are talking about ?

Thanks Again

Gerald

Several of us run 5800 30C Turnigys with great success in our tunnels...with 2030Kv motors and m445 props. Whereabouts in Ont. are you located?

I would not run the deans connectors. You should use 5.5 or 6.0 bullets. They have a much better connection. The deans connectors will get very hot and will limit the power to the motor...

You could use them but as Jason says you would need to change all connectors to atleast 5.5mm ones including the motor to esc ones, personally I would opt for the 5000 4s 65c rated ones as it is easier to move the cells to get ur cog correct, I found with these I placed them level with the esc shelf and that just about was perfect for the cog. Another mod I done was to remove the steering cables and replace them with 4-40 rod its a pain but can be done and well worth doing it, I also changed the cover for the center with a flat piece of clear perspex this helps with taping it down and gives the cables/rods more room.
Hope this helps you out.
