I recently found this old MRP V-Sport in the attic, Hull in good shape, never ran much. About 21" long. I threw a cheap paint coat on it and gutted it. I need some help on what to put in it. I am completely new to RC boats so any help is appreciated. I took the prop from the original submerged hole, epoxied it for no leaks and put the shaft straight thru the back. I just liked the look better, no idea if one is better than the other. The batteries I have to run in it are either a 8.4v 3000mah nimh that came in my traxxas slash or a 40c 7.4v lipo 4400mah. I am budgeting here and just want something to play around with, fast would be nice but I am not spending lots on this project. The electronics that is in the pics are just stuff i was playing around with to see if it would run. It's an xl-5 esc and unknown old brushed 427 motor. I picked up a cheap water cooled esc on ebay for less than $10 and here are the specs to it. I figured it was worth trying.
•Constant Current: 60A
•Max Current: 70A
•BEC output: 5A
•Input Volt: 7.4 - 18.5V (2-4 LIPO / 6 - 18 NIMH)
•Low-Voltage Cutoff: Auto detect and set
