been running 5s5000mah with a spartan prop with stock motor and esc plenty of fun but just got a seaking 180 amp and going to 6s5000mah35c(2 3s) what would be a good motor for this setup just for general bashing and maybe some all out runs

But seriously, this Leopard 1400kv on 6s would be almost uncontrollable: http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=leo-4074&cat=148

I'd go with a 3674 if it were mine, the 1400kv and you could swing a 6 pitch prop with some decent diameter............plus it would probably go right into the stock mount being a 36mm http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=leo-3674&cat=148

thanks again, prob going to go with the 3674 sounds like a compromise between fast and FAST

its a good motor but unless you are spec racing go with the leopard. I have a 4074 2000 kv on 4s and am not sure why anyone would want to make the boat faster then that, pretty damn fast for a 29 inch boat.

Ul1 motors are great, but not for 5 and 6s. To run that number of cells you need to be between 1500 and 1800kv

Thanks a lot, just trying to get a good solid set-up,boat handles good and plenty fAst on 5 cell
With spartan prop, now it needs to go faster

keep in mind, jumping up 1s in your packs is a big difference on the motor. a motor that might be perfect for 5s will be too much for 6s.and it works the other way. if i were planning on running two seperate cell counts in the same boat, in your case (5 and 6s) you would be better off getting a motor that will handle 6s well. sure, 5 s wont be a rocket, but you can switch props around to gain more speed. better than having a rocket on 5s and blowing up your motor on 6s… get it?

I learned that from reading on here but thanks agian
So once I get a motor(already have a 180amp esc ) I'm just gonna
Run 2 3cells and be done
