I seen these but couldn't stand spending the 60$ +

So I'm cruising Amazon and find these cool Waterproof RGB LED's with controller It was 40$ and I thought if the voltage is crazy I guess I can stick them on the back of my TV or my display case. The thing is i want to run them on the boat :). It would all ready be hooked up if it ran on 9V. But ya luck of the draw the controller runs on 2A 12V. Is this fees able? My boat runs on 2s 40C's and I hate to run on lipo for this but since the boat is lipo? What would be a good way to tackle this and not start a fire and make it last longer than 30min? I thought I coulduse my multiswitch off the third channel but think I will burn it up so I got a nice push button that can handle 14V and 10A.
