on the pt-109 boat the water cooling hardly flows any water at all. does anybody know if you can drill out the third rudder and run three inlets? one for each motor coil and one just for the esc. I got my father inlaw some 36mm three blade brass scale props to put on her but i want to have the water cooling working real well before i try a prop change!

I doubt that's the problem. Having multiple water pickups feeding the same cooling system is generally not a good idea, because if one pickup works better than the other the less efficient pickup can be effectively blocked, reducing total flow. Make sure that all passages are open and clear, drill out some if pissible.

The real reason for the limited flow is the low speed of the boat. Placing a pickup directly behind one of the props is the easiest way to increase the flow in this type of application. This causes a little drag but in this application with it huge wetted surface I doubt it would make any noticeable difference.
