we need more info
what boat did you buy?
is it a RTR boat or did you buy a boat that someone has built?
what specs do you have on it?
did it come with batteries and if not, what batteries are you using?
for sport running, the carbon prop will hold up for now, it might break if you put more power accross it but it's likely to be able to handle the amount of power it was made for.

http://www.nitrorcx.com/99b-10018-630-ep-artr.html I am not sure how to past a i think i did it correct it is a 22" ARTR it looks fairly quick stock in a you tube video i Sal but faster is better.I got the boat because of it's self righting hull only one i ever Sal it was cheap so i thought i could upgrade to make it faster. I was going to run a 5000mah 3s lipo i think it is all it can handle with stock esc/ motor.

make sure you balance it and sharpen it and keep an eye on your temps, it is a bigger propeller and will draw more amps.
consider upgrading the ESC to either

or

the battery you mentioned will work fine.

Raven, im in the same boat as you ( no pun intended) i wanted a metal prop but i dont know how to sharpen and balance them nor do i have the tools. I found at Funrcboats.com that they sell metal props and will balance and sharpen them for you for 25.00$ for small props and 35.00$ for larger props. Your prop size falls into the small prop. I look at offshoreElectric first but i didnt see that they offer that prop servise.

Yes they offer worked props here at OSE. You go to Propellors then scroll down to sharpened and balanced. or just click here http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/products.php?cat=Sharpened+%26+Balanced+Props

Another options that i have had success with lately are the CNC aluminum props. They dont need to be sharpened and balanced. They are much lighter than a copper prop and the Leopards I am running own love em.

They are cheaper as well. $25 usually on Fightercat or Kintec vs $38 to $40 for a s/b/p copper.
