FUGLY it is but it might be saved with a creative paint job. I wonder why you can't paint it? (according to the instructions) And most important, does it work? If it does I'll take FUGLY any day. If anyone has used this contraption please post their results!

Hey thanks I missed that it looks like it works. It also looks even WORSE in the video than in pictures....sigh! I love a rollover feature but maybe not that much.

That is the strangest looking but most useful thing you could possibly buy for the sv. Personally I will stick with my retrieval boat.

I want one for my mini v. But I think that the boat is too small for something like this even I built one to size for the mini v. How does the gecko self right?

In my gecko, I put the battery and esc on the left side and add a 50g weight on the left side interior wall too. In this configuration, the boat self rights instantly.....The other option is to add a small flood channel like the Europeans do.

Might add just a "touch" of windage as well !

You made me laugh so much I have tears rolling down my face :crying: . If that’s just an accessory they make let’s hope they never start to make FE boats.

The guy set out to right his boat if it flips... got to give the guy credit...it works. Remember the saying one mans garbage is anothers treasure. I would like some of what he was smoking when he thought of it...hehehe I have to agree with steve.. prob stick to a rescue boat.

Ok I have to laugh at the "painted a face on it and pretended it was a seriously fat driver". . . . . that was classic. . . .Maybe it's ideal to use to help tune a fast boat, and once you get tuned with that on, take it off? Or good for practice for kids? I'm trying to think of why someone would want it. As for the banging it on the water, maybe they realized it was so ugly after the fact they were trying to get the ugly thing off?

Dude, now I have tears running, I can barely see to type....lol... I hope the Guy who designed this fine piece of.......I don't know, never reads this.

P.S. Maybe a good painter could fix him up, maybe camo it. Make the whole thing look like a terradactul(sp) head.Maybe the AFLAK duck.

Yes I think duck is close. The first time I seen it the name Donald came to mind. Another guy come up with FUGLY and I like that. Fugly Duck. Maybe Steven could run a competition to give "this fine piece of.......I don't know" (I know but I will not say here) a name. Problem is what could he offer for a prize. Not one of these things I hope. No one would enter the competition.
Your words "Make the whole thing look like a terradactul(sp) head." My suggested name ..... TerrorDuckTul

I love the part where he picks it up and "SLAMS" it into the water!!:w00t:

I seem to do that alot at the pond,, pick up my FE boat and slam it into the water, just to see if it cracks!!

That is the Funniest thing I have seen in a while....

Now this inventor has started a craze. Now they are slamming FE boats into the water in Texas.
It is nearly midnight here in Tasmania but all of a sudden I feel the urge to go down to the pond to slam my boat into the water.
Maybe this guy has started an epedemic.
I would love to hear of any other reports of people slamming their boats into the water.
We are on to something here. Hey who wants to race when there is all this boat slamming to do!!! :roflol:

I know, they should paint that "seriously fat driver" piece to look like Rosie O'Donnell http://www.davinciinstitute.com/new/admin/content/FCKeditor/uploads/rosie.jpg or Rosanne bar http://www.anarchygolfballs.com/images/rosanne-barr.jpg

That would be to scale right??? and fit the just as ugly purpose too right???

Awww, come on now..Just paint a Bozo the Clown face on it, add some Bozo graphics to the hull, make the cooling water exit into a squitring flower; there are a ton of options. Maybe a whole bunch of little clowns inside. :roflol:

Its ugly and expensive too. Not worth it. I'll convert my other cheaper boat into a CRV or craft recovery vehicle.
