Just finished my first build a delta force explorer cat. It has twin tacon's 4074 2200kv ruining on 4s soon to be 5s x442 props. What would be a good step up for my props?

Which ESC's do you have?If you have enough ESC you could go 640 or 642.

It depends if u r using counter rotating props or not if u r usnig counter rotating props try 442 left and rt that is one of the sets I use along with 447 left and right a buddy of mine is using 445's both left hand and seems to work well for him I've yet to try it on my set up Chris

X445 or x642 pitch verses size ? What's the diff.

The pitch brings you more speed but also pulls more amps. That is why to go a little smaller diameter. It is a trade off, this is where experimentation and/or advise comes in.
We are limited with the counter rotating props.I am having this problem too.Fightercat has a good selection.

Was taking a look at them earlier can't decide what to get but I have some time because he will be closed for another week.

Are you looking for props to run on 4s or 5s? If you step up to 5s you won't want more than the x442s. You will be maxing that ESC out (~180A each) with that setup. Expect to run somewhere in the 70-75mph range once you get it dialed in with the x442s on 5s if they are balanced and sharpened well (providing your batteries are up to the task).

The esc's will be fine, I've got a twin that pulls spikes up to 300amps each and no issues. What lipos are you using?

He won't pull 180 amps continuous. The 180's are rated Continuous current 180A, burst current 360A.

The problem is there isn't much to choose from in R and L props. If temps are good I would have the 442's detounged and cupped.

Oh, ok.
I ran that exact setup and datalogged it. It pulled 170-180A+ constant under full throttle. It's good to know things have changed since then though, thanks for the update.
