Been running the stock electonics with a x642 prop on 4s (5000+ MAH and 50+C), and it was running just fine. Just installed a brand new Seaking 180 and 4074 Leopard 2200, and it runs extremely slow. I did set the full throttle position with the two beeps at the beginning, but the boat seems to be a Spartan in training mode, with no real RPM. What is happening? How do I fix this? The stock electronics are MUCH faster, and this is NOT right!

Batts are plenty........set your LVC to 3.0. If that doesnt work turn it off completely and dont go for more than about 4 minutes. Thats alot of prop, its better suited to an x442 and its most likely hitting LVC.

Put on the stock Mystic 29 prop (balanced and polished), and it HAULED ASS! The stanless stell stock prop is a Prather 215 clone. Steven mentioned the x442, and even the x445--what do you think? So the x642 has a bit too much pitch?

Thanks for the advice.

Yeah, i ran a Leopard 2200 setup in my Pursuit and it liked the x442 best. The 215 sounds perfect...............its about 40mm dia and 1.5 pitch as opposed to the 42mm 1.6 pitch x642....................not hitting LVC early now?

The Mystic metal prop is 40.6 in diameter, actually, so just a bit more bite. I'll buy a x442. Steven mentioned a 445, this seems a bit wide for an high-RPM setup, though. Changed the LVC to 3.0, and ran a pack through it. He has to be going 50MPH plus (with GREAT control), as it seems almost as fast as my Spartan. The 442 seems good for the Spartan, as it is a metal verson of the plastic stock prop-- the 642 is WAY too much prop for the Spartan, and the 215 seemed to give it a bit of torque roll, too.

Ive only been RC boating for two months now, and we are very lucky that our Ohio lakes have not frozen over due to the mild winter. I'll do more testing tomorrow.

I have a CC1515 2200kv with a t180 and the boat flies with a x445. Don't know how the leopard compares to mine but just thought I'd put it out there. I also tried 642 and x442 and 42x55. The x445 is the best for me. Also, make sure the esc is not setup on auto-calculate cells! Lots of issues with the auto function.
